newest and most popular venues, outdoor attractions and special
events with like-minded singles.
What is the average age of your members?
The age range of our members varies widely - from mid 20s
thru to the chronologically-gifted (60s upwards). As you can
see by our events calendar, we are committed to catering to
all age groups by offering a wide variety of events. Each
and every event is different and attracts a different mix
of ages as well as personalities etc.
Do I have to be a member
to come along to functions?
Not any more! The Dinner Club now welcomes non-members at
ALL our events! Of course, joining has its advantages (member
prices and you are ensured priority if places are limited)
but once registered ($50 incl. GST) you are welcome to come
along to events and pay the $15 non-member surcharge. Please
note that registration is compulsory.
Why do
I have to register if I'm not going to join?
In short, we want and need to know who you are!
In our experience (over 25 years), knowing each and every one
of our guests (and carefully co-ordinating tables accordingly)
is essential to guarantee a quality experience for all involved.
Plus, we have found that the registration process is the single
best way to eliminate "players" who are not genuinely
interested in improving their social life.
What makes your
club different than all the others?
It is said that imitation is the sincerest form
of flattery. If so, we have certainly received a lot of big
wet kisses over the years.

know you in order to introduce you to members who we know
you will connect with. We do not use computers nor leave anything
to luck. Our good old fashioned instinct has resulted in literally

How much is Membership?
6 Month Membership is just $99 (incl. GST) plus a one-off
registration fee of $50 (incl. GST).
Do I have to
re-register if I have not been to events for a long time?
Re-registration is required after 24 months of inactivity.
Can I buy a Gift Certificate for a friend?
Yes, many of our members have realised that it is a good
way to give their single friends that bit of extra encouragement
to join the club.
What can I expect
when I arrive at my first function?
Probably to be a tad nervous but after being greeted and welcomed
by a friendly face (your host/hostess), you will feel relaxed
and ready to have a great night.
I am a bit shy. Will I feel uncomfortable?
We hope not and have designed a service that minimises that
risk. All functions are fully hosted so you can rest assured
that your host will "break the ice",
ensure everyone is introduced to each other and get the conversation
flowing.
Will my membership information be confidential?
Membership is completely confidential and discreet. We do
not sell our membership list to anyone nor do we give last
names out at events. We will not sell or release any information
that you provide to us nor will we spam you.
What is your Credit Card policy?
Although some members prefer to post a cheque or
provide their credit card details over the phone, most members
enjoy the convenience of us simply debiting their credit card
upon making a booking. If credit card authorization and details
are provided, that credit card will be automatically debited
at the time of booking (including when booking with/for friends)
unless requested otherwise. In the event of a cancellation,
refunds will be provided as long as 24 hours notice is given.
Can I be sure that my Credit Card
information is safe?
We process your credit card transaction
in exactly the same way stores throughout Australia currently
use the EFTPOS system. We employ the latest industry standard
military grade 128 bit encryption technology thereby offering
the highest level of encryption possible. This means you can
rest assured that communications between your browser and
this site's web servers are private and secure.
You can confirm that your browser is in secure
mode by looking for the padlock icon in your browser window.
What happens if I meet someone I'd like
to see again?
Members typically exchange names and phone numbers at
the function. If you miss an opportunity, simply contact us
and we will arrange for you to attend another function where
the person will be present. Under all circumstances, our members
personal information is strictly confidential.
Do I just rock up?
No, you must book each function.
What if I have to
cancel?
Contact us as soon as possible! If cancelling a Saturday or
Sunday function, notification must be received before close
of business on Friday. Refunds will NOT be given if
we do not receive at least 24 hours notice before the event.
All other cancellations will be refunded except in cases where
bookings are non-refundable (eg. concerts, BOCS tickets, accommodations,
tours).
What sort of people
belong to Dinner Club?
Proactive singles just like you! To the casual observer, we
appear to be a group of good friends out enjoying ourselves.
And that is exactly what we are!
Are you a dating
service/introduction agency?
Not as such. However, our events do provide the best possible
forum in which to meet that special someone.
How do I get invited
to functions?
Peruse our events in your newsletter and/or here online
and then phone or email
your reservation and we will confirm your booking immediately.
